Health tools

Simple health tools

Quick checks worked out on this phone or computer. Nothing you type is saved or sent to anyone, including the fund.

For information only. These tools are not medical advice: see a clinician about your health.

BMI check

Body mass index compares your weight with your height. It is for adults aged 18 and over. Do not use it during pregnancy, or for children and teenagers.

For example 165 for 1.65 metres.

For information only. BMI does not measure body fat directly, and it can mislead for very muscular people, older adults and some body shapes. See a clinician for advice about your weight and health.

Pregnancy due date

An estimated due date from the first day of your last period, and when to plan your antenatal visits. Your clinic confirms the dates, often with a scan.

Many cycles are 28 days. Leave 28 if you are not sure.

Get care straight away for bleeding, severe headache or blurred vision, fever, fits, severe pain in your belly, or if your baby moves less than usual.

For information only. Maternity cover depends on your package, and in the 2026 Product Rules maternity has a 9-month waiting period and antenatal care a 6-month one. See maternity cover by package, or sign in to see your own cover and waiting periods.

Contribution estimate

An indicative monthly contribution for a package, from the rates shown on our home page. The fund confirms your contribution after it reviews your application.

Indicative only. People aged 65 and over get an age-based or reviewed rate, which this estimate does not include. Final contributions, eligibility, waiting periods and benefits are confirmed by the fund.
